THE WELLNESS EDITION NO. 4 - BE BOLD
Being bold might be a good advice or a bad advice, probably completely depends on your take of being bold. Well, for me being bold means to leave fears behind, to leave my comfort zone, to take care of my feelings and needs before considering anyone else's. Can you be bold without being selfish? I think yes, because taking good care of yourself is YOUR job - it is a matter of self-love which is necessary, no one else can do it for you. You are responsible for yourself, so you have to make sure to be well, otherwise you burn out and end up being a wreck. Who wants that? Not you, not me...no one.
LET'S TALK ABOUT BOUNDARIES
So, let's take this a little further...be bold and set and sustain boundaries. Without boundaries, you will never be well, I can tell ya - cause I know. It took me a long long time to learn that. Setting boundaries for me meant being bold. Since this one is called 'The Wellness Edition', I talk a lot about being well. Why is it so important for me to write about being well? The short answer is because I was not feeling very well for way too many years. Now I finally do and so I appreciate it a whole lot. But, looking around I see so many people who are not well at all, they are quite the opposite, they are extremely unwell. Therefore I write about being well, because I hope that maybe someone out there enjoys reading what has worked for me and what might work for him/her as well. Of course this blog is mainly about design but that is not all, I care about people very much, and I would be incredibly happy if more people can make it to get out of their deep hole of being unwell and to get a new perspective of feeling finally happy and healthy. In small steps, it is not a goal that can be achieved within a few days...it takes time, quite a lot of time, but it is worth it. Life gets so much better with every day you feel better and happier.
So, BE BOLD...be bold to feel your feelings and emotions, be bold to set healthy boundaries, be bold to work hard for your dreams, be bold to travel the world by yourself, be bold to leave your comfort zone. Be bold to be you!
