Nazar or "The Evil Eye"

Ever since I was a child, I was fascinated by this Eye from Turkey and Greece. Even though I have never been to Turkey or Greece (not yet), I think I got to know this symbol through the Turkish kids who went to school with me.

I love blue and turquoise so needles to say that just for the color combination, I had always been a fan. A few months ago my Turkish friend brought me a keychain with the Evil Eye back from her last trip to Turkey and I was super happy about this little sweet present.

Designing things with an eye has been a fascination quite for a while for me now, I don’t know why but I will just continue with it until I come up with something new that fascinates me.

Now with the cold here bringing Fall weather I miss Summer, sunshine and the Mediterranean even more so that was another reason for me to design something containing the Evil Eye and I really like the message of protecting you from negativity and bad things so hey this is what we all want, right? We want to feel safe and protected and this little helper here comes in very handy.

I am not a religious person at all, neither esoteric but I believe in shifting your mindset, thoughts and emotions to a good state of mind that brings you joy, good vibrations and makes you feel happy and relaxed overall. So I guess I am more spiritually interested but not in an esoteric sense, I am just trying to look at everything with an open mind, focusing on all the good things instead of the bad and seriously it helps me so much to feel better, to be more optimistic and relaxed and not to look at everything based on fear like I did pretty much the majority of my life.
