Self-Care Rituals

I know that many people struggle a lot lately because of the Corona crisis and Corona lockdowns. Therefore I wanted to come up with a graphic with self-care rituals. I know that we can’t solve the current issues and that we are totally dependent on what our governments let us do but nevertheless I hope that some of the ideas I am sharing today are applicable for many of in most countries.

I find outdoor time is super helpful to feel better, fresh air and in the ideal case also some sunshine and brisk walking do the trick for me. I know that not everyone is allowed to go outside for a walk lately unfortunately due to national lockdowns but if you can go outside, I can’t recommend it enough to spend time outdoors and to be surrounded by the beauty of nature.

What also greatly benefits my mental health is to spend less time on social media. Because the less time I spend on social media, the better use of my time I usually make. Instead of spending time mindlessly scrolling through Instagram, I love to listen to podcasts or to focus on learning new skills through tutorials or just to get creative and to spend the time drawing or painting.

Another thing that makes me really happy lately is crafting my own vision board book. It is so easy but so fulfilling, I bought a sketch book with spiral binding and I ordered lots of photo prints of places I want to visit, people who inspire me, the kind of lifestyle I want to live and so on - and I bought lots of washi tape, so what I do is to put all those pretty photos into my vision board book, write a few notes, draw a few things and this crafting / manifesting makes me incredibly happy.

I hope I could inspire you with this post to find some self-care rituals that bring you joy and help you feel grounded and relaxed.

Love,

Phyllis
