Pink Botanicals // No. 15
So here I designed a logo for the 15th edition of the pink botanical series. I love keeping it minimal and simple, that's very much my style. I think it is very classical and won't go out of style for a long time. And that is exactly the purpose of a well-designed logo...that it serves you for a long long time and therefore it helps to go with something very classical because design trends will quickly look outdated as soon as the current trend is over.
'Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication' said already Leonardo da Vinci and I'd say he totally nailed it. Good design should be meaningful, serving a purpose and should be kept quite simple in my opinion. Good design should communicate a message, tell a story but not distract from it's purpose. Therefore I keep my designs pretty minimal and simple most of the time - except for when I am experimenting and playing around with different styles outside of my comfort zone, then I will not keep it as clean and simple as I normally do - but in general my design style is minimal, simple and clean with lots of white space. I love love love white space, it gives so much time to focus on the design and to let it breathe and speak for itself. You know what I mean?
So, enjoy No. 15 of the Pink Botanical Blog Series. xx, Phyllis
