Home is where the WiFi is
So, I spent the weekend at my friend’s place who lives right in my street, only two houses from me. Well, I was there because I was looking after her cat since she was gone for the weekend. I love P’s apartment, so it was like a mini vacation for me, home away from home - like staying in a cool AirBnB. The cat was happy that someone was around and I could chill out very well. I spent lots of time on the beautiful balcony, Saturday my friend came over and we ate baguette and delicious Mediterranean spreads from the Turkish shop in my street and drank Cava. Life’s good like that, right.
Home is where the WiFi is! Your parents place, at a friend’s house, all the places we enjoy spending time with people we care for. And yes, usually our phones, iPads etc automatically connect into the WiFi there because it is just like being at home. I like that very much.
My weekend was really great. Friday I had a cool day with my mom, in the evening I was meeting up with friends and in the end I was home around 4 am Saturday morning because we went bar hopping and then ended up chilling out at A’s balcony. It was a lot of fun and much needed. I don’t really go out anymore very often, been there done that, but once in a while it is a cool thing and then it also is kind of special due to never really doing it anymore.
So I was really happy about my weekend. Now it is Monday and I am getting back to work. I have tons of things to do so I try taking it step by step to not feel overwhelmed and paralysed by overwhelm. Besides working, I try to put my main focus on the shop launch. I can’t wait to bring beauty into other people’s homes all over the world. On Friday I went to Ikea and I used to like their cards and wall art but on Friday I was disappointed at what I saw, so I think I can do better and people will be happy to buy something unique in my signature style. There is a lot of preparation work for the shop but I think it is worth it. And maybe my shop and I will move to the Mediterranean sometime in the future. Dreaming big is the biggest motivation ever in my opinion.
