The Freelance Issue No.20 // Sticking to your goals
Goals, goals, goals! We all know, they are important, they motivate us, they give us meaning…but as great as goals are, sometimes it is a little hard to stick to them. You know what I mean? I get the feeling that my list of goals gets constantly longer, which is a good thing IMHO since I never get bored that way, but sometimes, yes, sometimes I struggle to sick to them in order to make them become the reality that I want.
There are times when I am super ambitious and work very hard to reach my goals and yes, there are also times when I kinda lose focus and do other things. Which is not necessarily bad either because from time to time we also have to take care of the stuff that does not motivate us or we think it is not sooo cool to spend time with (hello bureaucracy I am looking at you here) but the important thing is to not lose sight of our goals on the long run!
So, since 2018 is almost over and I have a pretty big pile on my agenda of things I wished to do, I might also turn this into a post…let’s see. I kindly want to remind myself here to get back to working for all the goals I want to turn into reality - even if it takes some time to do that but that is okay, You gotta enjoy the journey as well, right! People often stop when they don’t see fast results and I think here is the problem. It is important to stick with things even if we don’t see the desired results right away (not matter it it comes to running a business we want so see grow, learning a new language or other new skills etc.) - so this is one thing to never forget in order to stick with it. Even if it can sometimes be hard and we want to see results right away, but baby unfortunately this is not how it works…
The Christmas holidays are close and I am slowing down from now on in order to get into the holiday mood. Less work and more fun for this one here until January starts.
