Fresh Beginnings
I feel it is the best thing to start fresh from time to time, to start all over again, to redefine where you want to go in life and then just to start. Getting out of old ways that did not work and to find new ways that actually work for you.
These difficult pandemic times give us the possibility to start approaching things in new ways. I tried to make the best out of this situation. I am very grateful and lucky that I can still work and earn good money working mainly from home now but since I don’t lose the time anymore for commuting and running around like crazy I have more time to focus on my own projects and also to focus a lot on cooking and baking which makes me super happy because i find it is one of the most relaxing things ever plus it helps you to nourish your body and soul with healthy delicious homemade food.
My newest project is a sourdough starter. I started this already one or two years ago but then I forgot all about my starter and that sad little thing died. Then I thought sourdough baking just ain’t for me but now I try again to get into it. Let’s see how it goes but I decided this time I won’t give up, no matter what happens, I will just stick to it until I bake the perfect sourdough bread. I try making as much from scratch as possible like cooking my own marmalade and ice cream (yes, I bought a fancy ice cream maker for the corona quarantine) - now I want to start with making my own sourdough as well. Lately one of my favourite dishes is Ratatouille - oh wow, eating a delicious Ratatouille with homemade sourdough must be pure food heaven! I can’t wait to try, I can tell you here. This will be sooo good!
I don’t know why, but somehow I associate fresh beginnings a lot with lemons and therefore I decided to draw lemons here. Maybe I should start making my own lemonade now as well since it is a delicious summer drink and a nice change to the sparkling water I normally drink. I am so into cooking and baking, who knows, maybe I was a chef in a past life…
Also here I am dreaming big while being super happy and grateful for my current situation and everything I have right now but I am sure life has more to offer as long as you are willing to receive it! Ask and it is given as they say and I believe in it now.
