Iran Desert Exploration // The Logo Series
In October 2016 I traveled to Iran and it was a wonderful trip, I had a fantastic time there and enjoyed the three weeks that I was traveling through Iran.
We stayed for a few days in the desert, in a beautiful lodge that was recommended by a carpet trader in Isfahan. Barandaz Lodge really was a fantastic place with super delicious food where we also met lots of interesting travelers and the time there was just great. I wrote another blog post about Iran before where I shared my photos with you. I remember we had cinnamon eggs for breakfast at Barandaz Lodge, homemade feta and home cooked Iranian meals fresh cooked by the Tabatabai family that runs the lodge.
The desert photo I took when we were driving through the desert with a guide in a 4WD, it was like a roller coaster going up and down the steep hills. It was pretty cool. We were part of a group and in the end we met somewhere at the desert (well, the guides knew their way for sure), drank tea, ate buscuits at the campfire that they lit listening to Iranian music. It was an amazing experience and I am so happy we had a chance to explore this!
Let's talk about the logo that I created here. I used an existing font that I altered and customised to design a very unique style. I tried to keep it very minimal but I also wanted to include some of the mysterious spirit that Iran and the desert have, therefore I used a serif font that is still a litte bit playful in my opinion. I am pretty happy with the outcome!
I really miss traveling these days and I can't wait to get back to it. Ever since I was little, I traveled a lot but lately it is a bit on hold because I work so much but as soon as I can I will get back to traveling. There are so many places I can't wait to explore. I am happy right now that it is Summer and Summer in Germany is really pretty and there are so many things to do but as soon as Fall and Winter are back, I hate staying here because of the cold and dark weather which makes me depressed and gives me health issues quite often. So my plan is to escape to the South that time of the year for a few months as soon as I can...hopefully soon, so please keep your fingers crossed for me.
Wishing you a sunny and beautiful day!
