Guapa // The Logo Series
If you are a woman and ever have been to Spain, you were probably called 'guapa' a lot. The translation is beautiful/gorgeous and it is normal that even strangers who find you sympathetic call you guapa, men and women. I always find it is a nice way of showing love and care in daily life, even among total strangers once you start exchanging a few kind words while ordering your café con leche in the morning before heading to work. I lived in Spain and I always loved Spain since I was a little kid and possibly I will also move to Spain again at a certain point.
So today I decided to work on a Spanish inspired logo including the word guapa since it is so commonly and frequently used in Spain. The colors I chose might resemble Greece though but blue and white works well for the whole Mediterranean in my opinion, so it is the right fit and also less conventional than let's say using red and black, which would be quite cliché. So instead let's spice things up a little with blue and white.
It is Sunday and I am heading to the swimming pool later on with my friends, so blue like the water was another inspiration. I love Summer so much. Last night I went to an open air festival at a gorgeous location with classical opera music. It was just wonderful, we sat down on the grass, ate a delicious picnic, enjoying the Summer weather while listening to classical music. Pure joy I can tell you, this evening certainly was one of my Summer highlights so far! I absolutely loved it.
