Sunday Thoughts // Number 1

I am starting a new blog article series called “Sunday Thoughts” because Sundays offer a great chance to reflect on the past week, to set goals for the new week and to practise self-care on a super high level. In Germany Sundays are extremely boring because everything is closed, so the best thing you can do then is to use that day to focus on yourself and to do things that are good for you. In Summer I often meet up with friends on Sunday and we go swimming or enjoy a picnic together but of course this is not an option in Winter.

My past week has been a bit rough to say it that way. I did not feel well and on Wednesday I got really sick. My plan was to celebrate my birthday today with a brunch with some friends but due to being sick I had to cancel this. Last week I realised with what kind of clients I do not want to work with and how valuable my work is and the expertise that I have as a designer and especially in branding. I decided to raise my prices and to only work with the kind of clients who value me and the work I do and who are willing to pay appropriate prices for my services - because my work and I are worth it. Who is not willing to pay a good price is not my client. End of the story.

I realised how grateful I am for my wonderful family and friends and also for all the wonderful people I connected with online through Instagram, through the Ray Peat Facebook groups where I was a member when I still had Facebook, for having joined Gabby Bernstein’s Miracle Membership which always gives me lots of support and strength whenever I am feeling down and for all the great things that happened in my life. I realised that shifting my thoughts and energies to feeling happy and vibrating high has a great effect on what the present and future bring and I am done with living in a spiral of depression, eating disorders, self-punishment and living a life I never wanted to have that way. Instead I now focus on surrounding myself with people who treat me well and support me, on creating the life I always wanted to live and to treat myself with the utmost respect and love.

2019 is going to be a year where I will be working with the best clients, I am going to open my shop and I finally travel again which is something that I deeply miss. Sacred Self Care Sundays are a great day for goal setting and manifesting and that is exactly what I focus on today. Happy Sunday to you beautiful soul <3
