The Wellness Edition No. 43 // Gratitude
Let’s talk about gratitude. Your life gets so much better whenever you are grateful for what you have instead of seeing what you are lacking. Most people are so unhappy because they focus on lack instead of seeing what they actually have. I count my blessings every day for all that I have; I have a wonderful family and friends, a really nice apartment that I call my home, a fridge and freezer full of fresh and delicious food, I was able to travel the world and to live in different countries ever since I was little and I learned languages at an early age…lots of things to be grateful for, right?!
The more you focus on the good in your life, the more good will come to you I think. You create good vibes and energies and that is exactly what you get in return.
You might notice the heavy art nouveau influence in the graphic I created for today’s post. I might do more of that from now on. I have always felt drawn to art nouveau and art nouveau cities like Paris and Barcelona…hey my hometown even is famous for art nouveau, so no wonder I am so in love with it. So more art nouveau inspired designs to follow for sure.
I have heard that keeping a gratitude journal does wonders to boost your mind and to make you aware of all the good things in your life. I have not written one but I think it might be a good start if you can only focus on the lack instead of seeing all the good that is already present in your life because when you constantly write it down you will internalise it, become aware of it and appreciate all the little things that cause you joy and happiness.
Appreciating the little things and being grateful has an amazing impact on your wellbeing, you will note the difference once you start realising it.
